Sketch Saturday #325--

Hi crafters!!
Happy Labor Day to all.... Hope you are all enjoying your holiday weekend.  It has been very hot and humid lately in the Chicagoland area.... So I am spending my days inside crafting this weekend.
This week on at Sketch Saturday it's the 5th Saturday and they go through their past sketches and let you pick one.... This week you get to pick any past sketch between 215-324....  The sponsor this week is Bugaboo stamps.   There are many amazing digital stamps on their site but unfortunately, my printer is broken and I could not make a card using them this time.... Will be back soon with a card with a bugaboo image later on....
On with today's project....

I decided to use sketch #310 for this card:

The designer paper is from KC company which I had gotten from Joann Fabrics some time back along with matching tags and flower embellishments, but never used... I really loved the prints in this stack and thought it would be great for a wedding card.... Too bad I don't have anyone to give it to right now.... The sentiment is from Jaded blossom.

In addition to the Sketch Saturday challenge.... I am planning on submitting this in for current
challenge going on now over at Hiding in my craft room .  HIMCR #163- freestyle.  Check out their site for more details.

Thanks for stopping by and checking out my card.... I really love hearing from you so please leave a comment.   Also don't forget to follow my blog to see more exciting projects and cards in the future.

BACK TO SCHOOL!!!!!

Hey crafters...
Its that time of the year..... kids heading off to school.  Last year, I made a cute supply cake for my then Kindergartner to take for her first day of school.  This year I just could not get all of the supplies in time, so I opted to make a card instead...
Mary over at CARDZTV made a very cute S-fold card the other day. Please head over to her blog to check it out-- here is the link to the video for the card.

Here is my take on the "Back to School" card

I had the DCWV " The Grade School" stack, which I love and have used previously in different school projects for my kids.  When I cut the DP for the inside panel I had notice that "teacher" and "first grade" were right in the center and thought it was perfect to highlight that part since the card was meant for her first grade teacher... Perfect coincidence!!!!  I used the Cricut Recess cartridge for the pencil and Locker Talk for the sheet of paper.   I left the inside panel blank so my kid can sign her name and will add the gift-card to the bottom of the inside panel... I used some 3-D stickers I had in my stash for the letter.
All in all, I really love how this card turned out... Thanks Mary for the inspiration to make this card!!!!

This week both My Craft Spot and fantabulous cricut challenge blog  have challenges going on with back to school themes, and I am planning on submitting the card in...

Thanks for stopping by.  Hope you enjoyed the card..
As always love hearing from you so please leave a comment and let me know what you think.....

"Sanity" treat box!

Hi fellow crafter!!
Wanted to share a treat box I made for my manager..... Few weeks ago we converted to a new software for medical records at work. Let me tell you, it got pretty hectic and chaotic while the kinks of the system were worked out and everyone learned how to use the system.  My poor boss looked frazzled by the end of the whole ordeal and jokingly posted on the bulletin board " have lost my sanity, if anyone has founds it please return to manager's office".
Now everyone know chocolates are her favorite, so I decided to make this cute treat box and filled it with Hersey nuggets.  The word "sanity" was spelled out using glitter alphabet stickers I got from Hobby Lobby.  Lately, I have been trying to use different kinds of embellishments on my projects and love these alphabet stickers to give a 3-D effect.  The card stock is from stash.

This week challenge over at My Craft Spot is: Challenge #149 - Bags & Boxes!
This fits in perfectly with the theme and is being submitted in today... A bit on the late side since today is the last day for submitting.

Thanks for stopping by and checking out my latest creation.  Hope you enjoyed it.

Sketch Saturday #322

Morning!!! I am a little late in posting this card this week.... Have many pending projects going on... More details on those soon.  Just wanted to stop in very quickly and show you the card I made for this weeks sketch over at Sketch Saturday!!!

The image I used is from Tiddly Inks:  birthday-wishes and colored her using my BIC Markers.  The tag is from Heidi Swapp.  A while back I had purchased some of her Color Shine Spritz in Tropicana teal along with some of her Color Magic Banner Delights.  I cut a piece of from the banner to make the tag and sprayed some of the teal spritz.  Used some twine I had from my Valentine collection from Doodlebug Designs. The Designer Paper is also from Doodlebug Designs Sugar Shoppe collection.

All in all, this is a very cute and festive card and I had fun making it... I enjoyed using the spirtz colors from Heidi Swapp and may have to continue playing with the different products she has out...

Thanks for stopping by and checking out my project.. Hope you enjoyed the card..
Don't forget to follow my blog for more wonderful projects and ideas..

Eat Drink & be Married

Hi fellow Crafters... hope you all had a great summer... Cant believe it is almost over.

Today I wanted to share some wedding favors that a co-worker asked me to make for her son's wedding next month.. I jumped to the opportunity to show my creative talents!!!!  Here is a sneak of some of the favors I have made so far....

I got the design and direction for the favors from ChicnScratch- You-tube video ( Easter Treat holder).
They were simple to make and holds anywhere from 3-5 chocolate nuggets or small bag of kisses inside them very easily.  I used the Jaded Blossom- Curly Label die for the mat and the sentiment stamp is from Jaded Blossom - The Perfect Match .  I took left over pieces of the same card stock used to make the favors to wrap the nuggets in and used a background stamp on a few to give them just a little character.  I am really pleased with how they are turning out..specially since this is my first time making something this big for anyone.  Hope she likes it!!

Thanks for stopping by and checking out my latest creation.
Hope you enjoyed it as much as I had making it :)
